Additional Restrictions for Brachycephalic (short-nosed) Dogs and Cats
Brachycephalic (short-nosed) dogs and cats are not hot-weather animals and therefore do not thrive in warm temperatures. In addition, they do not fly well because they can have difficulty breathing even under normal conditions.
Hawaiian Airlines will accept brachycephalic dogs and cats for transportation if the owner/shipper agrees to (1) release Hawaiian from any and all liability resulting from the transportation of the animal and (2) not file any claim with Hawaiian relating to the transportation of the animal. If the owner/shipper agrees to these conditions, Hawaiian will transport the animal. Owner/shippers should download, review and sign the following liability release form for the following breeds:
