Weight Calculations
Additional Excess Weight charge applies for each item exceeding 50 pounds (23 kg)
Items exceeding maximum of 70 pounds (32kg) are not accepted
Exception: Flights to/from SYD, and flights between MNL and Hawaii have a weight allowance of 70 pounds (32 kg) (no Excess Weight charge)
Flights connecting between MNL-HNL-North America have a weight allowance of 50 pounds, and are subject to Excess Weight charges.
Exception: Business Class passengers on flights to/from Japan, Korea, and the Philippines have a weight allowance of 70 pounds (32 kg) (no Excess Weight charge)

Linear dimensions: Length + Width + Height
Additional Excess Size charge applies for each item exceeding 62 linear inches (157 linear cm)
Items exceeding 80 linear inches (206 linear cm) are not accepted
Exempt
First Class Passengers, International Travel, North America HCP Travel, Pualani Gold/Premier Club/Corporate Members, GOV/MIL Fare Travel, HA Employees and Retirees, HA/OA/Executive Pass Travelers, and H/K Employee Fare (for those listed on employee STAR) are allowed two (2) bags free of charge. Excess size/weight or special item charge may apply.
Pualani Platinum members are allowed three (3) bags free of charge. Excess size/weight or special item charge may apply.
Active duty Military passengers and their dependents are allowed four (4) bags in coach class and five (5) bags in first class free of charge. Excess size or special item charge may apply. Valid Military ID must be presented upon check-in with an airport service counter agent to qualify (no web/kiosk check-in).
For travel between USA and SYD, surf/kite/wake/paddle boards are included in the free baggage allowance when travel is non-stop, direct, and/or a connecting service.

Ticketing Fee / Restrictions
Ticketing fee applies per passenger and is non-refundable. Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and any voluntary change made will be subject to a change fee plus any applicable fare difference. Tickets are valid for one year from date of issuance. Ticketing fee applies to both revenue and award (mileage redemption) reservations.

PPG ATO: $25, PPT ATO: 2,000 XPF, MNL FOPs: VISA/MasterCard/Cash only. Ticketing fee does not apply to ATOs outside of the USA.

Standby First Class Upgrade
Available on the day of departure only. First class upgrades on the day of departure can be completed through web / kiosk check-in 24 hours prior to departure. Before 24 hours prior to departure, normal change rules (fare difference + change fee) apply.
North America / International: Varies by season and route. More information is available through our Reservations Department.
Change Fee
No change fee for HCP tickets. Change fee dependent on class of service, date, origin/destination, and ticket status. See Fare Rules for more details on change restrictions and charges.
Name changes are allowed on HawaiianMiles Award Tickets and Unticketed Domestic itineraries only.

Award change fee applies per break-point, per person. See Award Fare Rules for details.
Ticket Cancellation
Most fares are non-refundable, please see ticket restrictions. Ticket cancellation fee is for restricted refundable tickets.
HawaiianMiles Redeposit Fee
Redeposit fees is assesed per tranaction, per PNR. Redeposits not allowed on partially used tickets.

Unaccompanied Minors
Children 1-4 years old are not accepted unaccompanied
Children 5-11 years old are must be accompanied, on the same flight and compartment by a passenger (Domestic: 15 years old and above, International: 18 years and above). Otherwise they are considered unaccompanied minors.
Children 12 years old and above may travel unaccompanied on Domestic flights, but may require additional documentation to travel unaccompanied for International flights. Contact the consulate of destination country for details.

Other Airlines

For reservations connecting with other airlines, the baggage fees and rules of the first marketing carrier applies throughout the itinerary.

For example, if you are traveling roundtrip from Honolulu, Hawaii to Austin, Texas, and connecting from Hawaiian Airlines to United Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines baggage fees and rules would apply both ways.

Connections between interline partner carriers must be made between 4 hours and the minimum connection time (varies), else it is considered a stopover and you will need to collect your bags and check back in. If you have a seperate confirmation code for a connecting flight, please check in with an airport agent at your point of origin.
